Starting on Monday 23rd January 2017, this is a quilting group for beginners, based on patchwork techniques, using either a machine or hand sewing.

We shall be working together on a starter patchwork square based on a common pattern, for which help and guidance will be given.  We shall learn how to make our card templates and use our tools to make the required pieces of material for our pattern.  Once the initial square is completed, members will choose what they want to use it for, i.e. they can make a simple cushion or repeat the pattern to make it into a larger piece.

Equipment - Members are requested to come equipped with any oddments of 100%-cotton fabrics as well as basic quilting equipment, which was discussed and agreed upon at our initial meeting in December, but please contact the Group Leader for more detailed information on this if you were not present then.  Further possible equipment can be purchased to share.
